Can My Potted Bulbs Go Outside Now

Question
I live in zone 6.  We are averaging the 40s in the morning and 50s-60s during the day.  I recently planted dahlias, calla lilies, gladiolas and liatris bulbs in flower pots.  I currently have the pots indoors.  The green stems are sprouting rapidly.  Is it safe to put them on my deck now and leave them out through summer?

Answer
Kimberly,
10 1/2 yrs. ago I had a stroke at the age of 44.  I was living in Alaska at the time so I moved to where my parents and the rest of the family lived-the midwest.  Since then, after lots of rehab, I took up gardening as "therapy".  It can be sooooo calming and relaxing, then again, it can be exhausting and frustrating if you let it!  It's taken me 7 years to get an empty 1/4 acre yard into a lovely master gardener's flower garden.  It's only been in the last year that I've learned to "TAKE TIME TO LOOK AND ENJOY"  the beauty of my surroundings!! I LOVE the summer-the heat, humidity and all!-and love to just sit or lie under a tree and think of NOTHING!!
 Don't burn yourself out!!
Have fun and know when to stop for the day. Enjoy getting dirt under your fingernails, or what you have left as fingernails after gardening.  Get a good pair of rubber covered gloves-they have a cloth wrist-band and come in lots of colors--they are the best!!
