Can you identify this plant

Question
I have recently been seeing a plant in beds that looks like an Iris leaf but produces a long stalk with small star shaped flowers.   I've seen both yellow and orange.
I live in Ohio.

Answer
Hi Jody,
Thanx for your question.  It does sound like a member of the iris family.  How tall is the plant and can you be more descriptive of the flower (what kind of stalk, how long.  It sounds like crocosmia.  It's not reliably hardy in Ohio but the corms can be lifted and stored in the basement for the winter.  I hope this helps.
Tom
