replanted easter lily

Question
the replanting went well. I have it inside my home.  New leaves forming well however i noticed yellow fungi-like dots and bright yellow mushroom-looking things growing in the soil.  The mushroom looking things are about 1 inch from the top of the soil.  They are very strange looking.  My home stays about 77 degrees and gets some filtered light when placed by my window.

Answer
Hi Candace,
It sounds to me just as you said, there is fungus (including the mushrooms) growing in your plant medium.  Fungus is spread by spores which are microscoping and the air is full of spores from a variety of fungi so this could have come from anywhere.  There are some anti-fungal agents you can buy in the gardening department of major retailers or DIYs and apply it according to the diretions on the package.  You might look for brands like Ortho.  Also, the lily will benefit from 6-8 hours of sunlight a day. I hope this helps.
Tom
