TIGER LILY

Question
LIVE IN ZONE 5 DIVIDED AND REPLANTED MY LILY 4/21/11.WILL I GET A BLOOM THIS YEAR? THANKS

Answer
Hi Steve,

Whether your lilies have the strength to bloom after being divided has to do with the size of the bulbs and the level of fertilization that you provide. Did the lily bloom last year? Did you simply separate blooming sized bulbs? Did you give them a bit of bulb fertilizer? If the answer to these questions is yes, then your lily will certainly rebloom - it may just be delayed a bit. And tiger lilies are quite tough! They may not even need fertilizer.

Does this help? Please feel free to write again.
