Dianthus Planting

Question
I have multiple dianthus flowers.  I want to be able to share the seeds from the plants I have planted.  How do I remove the seeds for future planting?  ( I am one of them clueless flower people !)

Thanks a ton!

Answer
Hi Nicole,
Thanx for your question. After the plant blooms it will leave behind a seedpod.  Allow it to drop the petals and dry.  You will find tiny black seeds inside and you can empty these capsules out onto a white paper plate.  Store them in a plastic bag or a glass jar that you can seal.  Keep them in a cool, dry, dark place.  I hope this helps.
