impossible honeysuckle

Question
I realize that I may be asking the impossible.
I am in Chicago (zone 5b)
I want fragrant honeysuckle that is legal (non-invasive) in Illinois
But I don't want bees.

I know fragrance=bees, but I have heard that some of the honeysuckles with deeper flowers do not attract bees.
Do you have suggestions.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Jeff,
Thanx for your question.  According to several references there may be a type of honeysuckle that may suit your needs.

It is  lonicera sempervirens/trumpet honeysuckle http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/gardens-gardening/your-garden/plant-finde

Supposedly because it lacks scent, it is not as attractive to bees but is attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies.  I don't have any experience growing this plant but I see it being grown here in the Kansas City area.  It is also not as invasive as regular honeysuckle.  You may want to contact your local Master Gardeners or County Extension Agent and see if they have any feedback.  If you will tell me your general area, I can probably find you a contact.  I hope this helps.
