Phalaenopsis lost all leaves

Question
One of my orchids became infested with false red spidermite. I was able to wash off the pest, however, the plant lost all its leaves before a new growth matured(the new leaf seems to have withered before it grew) the plant seems to be alive can I still save it?

Answer
The first step in answering the question is for you to check on the roots.  Dead roots are mushy and will not support future growth. If you still have healthy roots then recovery of the plant will depend upon the health of the growing point ( tissues at the center of the plant from which new leaves originate). If the growing point tissues have not been damaged, you may yet get growth from that site.  The only way you will know is if you actually get new growth.  Hopefully your potting mix is in good condition so, if and when, new growth starts, it has a favorable environment at the the root zone in which to strive.  Try to maintain good humidity about the plant and water sparingly until new growth appears.
