SEEKING DOLPHIN PLANT .......

Question
Hi there !
I was vistiting someone in NH & noticed a trailing potted plant that had red flowers that looked like dolphins.  The only info they could give me was that it was referred to as the "dolphin plant" that it could be tropical & that she thought it grew all over Florida.  Do you know what this might be called & where I can get one ????

Thanks !
Sally

Answer
Hi Sally,

There is no plant commonly called dolphin plant. However, from your description you may be referring to a plant more commonly known as lipstick vine or botanically as Aeschynanthus lobbianus.

If this is not what you are seeking, let me know how yours differs. If it is what you are seeking, then an online search should help you find a source to purchase it.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
