cirrus plant

Question
I also am a Master Gardener..... I need help getting my small (8" pot) cirrus to bloom. Can you assist me with some new ideas?

Answer
Barbara,

You said your cirrus is in an 8" pot but you didn't say how old or large it is? Mine and every other one I have ot that bloomed was large and very rootbound. Mine sits on top of a bookcase in a west window and is tied up to a larger boocase.  These plants are from Mexico and love heat and also love bright sun but partly shaded in the afternoon. If it were mine I could give it a tablespoon of Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) sprinkled on top of the soil before watering it next.

Here are a couple of websites with pictures and a little info.
