i just recieved a arbiocola and was wondering how to care for it

Hi Ellen,
Your arboricola, aka "Schefflera arboricola: or "dwarf schefflera" is a great plant, it is really one of my favorites.
This plant can tolerate a variety of conditions from cold to hot, the ideal temperature being around 80 degrees.  
They do well in a low, indirect light.  Allow the soil to dry about 2" down before watering.
Just like scheffleras, watch for spider mite (small webs in between the leaf brackets, leaves yellowing and dropping), aphids (small clusters under leaves, in brackets) and scale (small brown, hard shelled, along stem and under leaves.  If you notice any of these, spray with a mixture of dish soap, rubbing alcohol and water.
