cutting lucky bamboo plants

Question
Hi,
I want to put together a lucky bamboo plant centre piece for a friend for her birthday. The only pieces of bamboo i can find are two -three feet high, which is much too high for what I think she would want.  Is it okay to cut these pieces down to a more reasonable height?
Thanks for you help, I'm on a time limit here so the sooner the better to hear back would be great, thanks so much!

Answer
Hi Michelle,

Yes, you can cut off the lower portions of the lucky bamboo cuttings and then insert them in water. They are just like any other cutting in that respect.

Please let me know if any of this is unclear or if you have any additional questions.
