Propagating prayer plants

Question
How do you propagate prayer plants?

Answer
Hi Melina,
Prayer plants are propagated by stem tip cuttings. Take the cutting just below a node in the stem. Best to use a node close to the bottom of the stem. Dip the cut end into rooting hormone and put in water. Prayer plants root better and faster in water. I have found it is best to use distilled water. Change the water every other day. Wait until the roots are about 1 inch long before you remove the cutting from water and put it in soil. Your patience in waiting until they are an inch long will pay off with stronger and faster growing roots.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Tracy
