queen of the night cactus

Question
Darlene, I have a Queen of the night cactus plant that I had started from a cutting ant it is now producing an areial root, what conditions should I put it in now? Email me your answer at Dogseadepression @yahoo.com Thanks, Wyatt

Answer
Wyatt,

A night blooming cereus should be potted in sandy soil and put in the sunniest position possible. It should be watered only when it has been dry for several days so approximately every 2 weeks. Be careful not to overwater it. It is tropical so it doesn't like temperatures below 50 degrees. Above 50 degrees it can be outdoors in a semi shady area but indoors it needs as much sun as possible. Good luck.

Darlene
