Peace Lily pests

Question
I have a large pot of peace lilies in a shady spot in the garden, there are about 20 flower stems and more coming up but all of them are being attacked by something from the inside, at least I think it is from the inside. It starts as a small black mark on the new bud and grows so that the petal becomes blackened, ragged and patchy.

I'd love to see them come to full perfect bloom. Your advice would be welcomed.

Ursula.

Answer
Hi Ursula,

My expertise is limited to indoor potted plants. Once plants are moved outside they are subject to local environmental conditions and local pests. There is no practical way for me to be properly informed of theses varied conditions.

I suggest that you check with someone who is familiar with your local environment.

Regards,
Will Creed
