Croton plant. care

Question
I just recently got a couple house plants after my grand father died, but I have one that I am having problems with, my croton.  It is losing of leaves is it a lack of water?  If so How much should I water it?  This plant means alot to me so I would really appreciate the help. Thank you in advance!  nick

Answer
Hi Nick,

Crotons need lots of bright light and lots of water and moderately warm temps.

Keep your Croton on your sunniest windowsill and be sure to keep the window uncovered throughout the day.

Water your Croton thoroughly - enough that some trickles through the drainage holes - as soon as the soil feels slightly dry on the surface or when the leaves start to wilt just a bit, whichever comes first.

It also helps to keep this plant quite potbound so don't be in a hurry to repot it.
