Question
we got a tree from our father's funeral.  it is braided and has leaves only at the top they are skinny pointy green leaves some have a red trim. We got a really tall at least 4 ft and a smaller.  can you help me with the name I'm trying to figure out how to care for them

If it is braided it is either a braided ficus or a braided schefflera. Either plant likes to sit in a very sunny location or even outdoors for the summer on the east side of the house. Water it when it is very dry or every 5-7 days indoors. Outdoors in warm weather it will need watered daily. Fertilize it once a month. makes sure it gets lots of sun. Good luck.
