Does the snake plant flower?

Question
Hi Will.  I've another question.
I see something at soil level  in my snake plant(Laurentii).  It's yellow and looks almost like a minutaure califlower .
Is this the bud of a flower or some sort of mushroom?
Thanks,
Dwight

Answer
Hi Dwight,

Snake plants definitely flower when kept moderately potbound and given good light. The tiny flowers do look a bit like cauliflower. They are attached to a long flower stem that grows to about a foot tall.
