succulents

Question
I just planted several succulents and cacti. should they be kept inside close to a
sunny window or should I keep them outside (on a patio). If I understand
watering, about every 14 days.

Answer
Hi Sandy,

Either location would be okay for your succulents, although if they are outside, they should be in light shade rather than direct sun.

It is hard to provide any set number of days between waterings without knowing soil consistency, pot size, plant species and temperature. Outside, your succulents might need more frequent watering when the temps are high and the air circulation causes greater evaporation.

BTW, most succulents can withstand temps down to 40 degrees and even lower in some cases.
