outdoor yucca plant care

Question
Our church has two mature yucca plants growing into each other, and all the lower leaves are white-brown in color.  If removed by trimming, will they regrow?

Answer
Hope,

No, you will just have a bare trunk. Bare trunk can be pretty. If you have ever been through the desert it is the nature of yuccas to have a brown skirt of dead leaves with a green top. You either leave the leves and have them to look at or the bare trunks. You might want to get under there and remove a few of the lowest leaves and see what the trunk looks like before you decide. I like the bare trunks on mine, it is a matter of taste. Good luck.
