avocado tree

Question
i forgot to ask. ive recently noticed some black along the edges of the leaves, then they drop off prematurely. this has been happening ever since i replanted it. i have also noticed some very tiny grey bugs in the soil. are they the culpret? if so, how can i destroy them?

Answer
Hello Casey,

The leaf drop could be the result of the plant being "upset" about replanting. Many plants will drop leaves when something in their environment changes.
The bugs could be mites. To get rid of them simply mix in some dish soap with the water for the next few times you water. You should also check the leaves and stems for pests. If you find them you can mix some water and dish soap and use a spray bottle or dish cloth to coat the plant in the soapy water.

Good Luck
Justin
