tiny flies living in my house plant

Question
hi i have a money plant living indoors.it was given to me and needed repotting to a bigger pot.i did this and have noticed recently alot of little tiny flies living on the plant and in the soil.do u know what these are and what i should do to get rid of them as i dont want to risk these flies moving onto other plants, which so far seem ok.i have moved them away fromt he money tree.i'm not very experienced in keeping plants and want to do the right thing.thanks in advance.

Answer
I know exactly what they are but I almost guarantee you that they are in other plants! They are gnats and they are like tiny flies. They lay there eggs in moist soil, and have a short life span. So, if you allow all of your plants soil to completely dry out. Then water well, and let them dry out completely again, and water well, and water regularly, from then on. They should be gone. But, if they aren't you should repeat completely drying out and then watering well until gone, once gone you should water regularly.
Best Wishes,
Samuel
