white calla lilly indoor

Question
I have an indoor white calla lilly that I bought a grocery store. It was doing great, but the leaves are turning yellow. I've tried not to over water it. I clipped the yellow dying leaves. Any suggestions?

Answer
Jen,

Is your plant a calla lily or a peace lily? If it is a peace lily you should be careful not to overwater it but if it is a calla lily it needs lots of sun and it needs to sit in a bowl full of water constantly. A calla lily is a plant that grows from small bulbs and grows and blooms for about 6 weeks then has green leeves for about 3-4 more months then dies back and rests for 6 months then starts another bloom cycle.

A peace lily is a  tropical house plant and grows year around and can bloom at any time of year. If you email me a picture I can tell the difference. You can send it to me at [email protected] or thru here. Then I can tell you how to resolve the problem.
