Ivy house plants

Question
I have an Ivy that was given to me around Christmas time.  I have a couple of questions.  First I was wondering if I sent you a pic maybe you could tell me what type of Ivy I have.  Also I was wondering if Ivies like to be misted?  I know a few of my other plants do and I wonder if my Ivy would also appreciate it.  Thank You,  Lori

Answer
Hello Lori, yes of course send me a photo and I will do my best to identify your ivy.  Practically all plants, apart from those with hairy fleshy leaves and stalks i.e. African Violets, Gloxinthia, Begonias will never say no to a misting!  Just remember never to mist a plant if it is sitting in the sun as the leaves will then develop brown spots and have to be cut off, however, I am sure you already know that ivies, whilst appreciating a well lit position should not be in direct sunlight.

I look forward to receiving the photo.

Diana
