Question
I HAVE  A DWARF PLANT AT CHRISTMAS REMOVED FROM BAG AND PUT IN A PLANTER CAUSE I LIVE IN BOSTON MA. IT WAS DO WELL IN THE BAG BUT SINCE IT SEEMS TO BE LOOSING NEEDLED. ITS IN VERY GOOD SOIL FEED IT TWICE A MONTH PUT IT OUSIDE DURING THE DAY IF ABOVE 32 DEGREES CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON KEEPING THIS PLANT ALIVE. THANH YOU MICHAEL

Answer
Michael,

Keep it very dry & very sunny. Just give it enough water so it is not quite dry but definitely not wet or even damp. I suspect that you have been keeping it too wet and it is not getting enough sun when you are keeping it indoors. It would be best in an unheated garage next to a window so it was never above 40 degrees. Without full sun outdoors and during the short days of winter it needs very little water. Too much will cause the roots to rot which may be what is happening to yours. If you have more questions feel free to write again. Good luck.

Darlene
