Question
Hello! I received a lucky bean plant about a year and 1/2 ago.  It has grown in height and leaves very well- at least double the height-But it has never flowered and I was wondering why?  The plant sits in a sunny window but not in direct sun and I try to feed it every month. I water it quite a bit once a week.

Answer
Sara,

It needs at least four hours of full sun in the morning or evening in an east or west window with the drapes open. It also should not be in too large a pot. It will bloom sooner if rootbound. A 6 inch pot is the largest possible pot. The fertilizer should have a higher center number. If the 1st number is highest it will spend all it's time growing leaves and now flowers. More sun and less fertilizer will help. Good luck.
