Dying Rosemary bush

Question
I have rosemary bushes aprox 3' x 2' planted outside in direct sun at the beach.
They have been living well for 2 years, but all of a sudden I have lost on
completely and another going. They look completely dried out (brown).  They
are watered as always 2 to 3 times a week. We have had no changes in what we
have done for 2 years. Dosent look like bugs.  What to do???

Answer
Marie:
The bush that has turned brown is normally dead. The causes could be many. Too much water; not watered at a reasonable time; not enough water & roots have reached soil without the minerals to live on. If you don't pruned it every 3 weeks, it will become woody & weak.Pruning keep it healthy & vigorous. Prune 1/3 off each branch, from the tip down. Feed liquid fish fertilizer every 3 weeks. Home depot&lowe's now carry this. Since it is by the sea, it does not need to be watered 3 times a week. Once a week is good. Let nature from above do the rest.
