perennial herbs that grow in the shade in New Jersey

Question
What herbs would be a perennial and grow in the shade in New Jersey?

Answer
Stacy:
I really can't think of any perennial herbs that would do well in shade, except maybe chives. They might survive, but they wouldn't grow well, and they wouldn't have much flavor.

Parsley can be grown in part shade, but it is biennial (and should really be grown as an annual). All the perennials I can think of need sun and heat. The only exception might be mints - they are so hardy I imagine they would grow under just about any conditions. But beware, they are very invasive!
