Question
I have purchased a fairly new plant...just arrived. Should I take it to a local flower shop to have them plant it for me or can I purchase the soil myslef an pot it..tks so much..I'm setting this in a well sunlighted bay window

Hi Judy,

A plant store may or may not know the proper soil media for Nepenthes.  The good news is that they are tolerant of a variety of mixes as long as it retains moisture, drains well, and is low in nutrients.  You can easily mix it yourself, or purchase some from a carnivorous plant specialty nursery.  Visit our care pages and we have information there including soil and repotting:  http://www.cobraplant.com/caresheets  Just go to the link on Nepenthes.
