My X-Judith hindle

Question
I recently aquired a X-Judith Hindle plant, it has been growing fine but this afternoon i noticed that there are now mushrooms growing with it. Is this a severe problem and how should i go about them.

Answer
Hello Linda,

Mushrooms are typically not the fungus you need to worry about so far as damaging your plants. You can spray them with Neem oil or sulfur based fungicides and they will die in a few days. The fungus you will need to be watchful for appears as yellow, white, grey, or greenish-black fibers growing in patches or lumpy masses like tiny popcorn puffs. Fibrous or puffy funguses are the ones that attack dead matter and can move on to living matter if unchecked.
