Is this water okay?

Question
Hi all experts,

I have a question about water.   Is this method of using filtered water from my fridge okay?
I fill a spray bottle and fill that with the filtered water ,and let that sit for 2 days away from windows.
If this at all helps: I have a Venus fly trap, Purple Pitcher plant, Red pitcher, Judith Hindle, a Lance Leaf sundew, and A Cape Sundew.

Sincerely,

Weylin Callery

P.S : the Cape sundew I got from you ,and got that today and it looks wonderful.   Thank You

Answer
Hi Weylin,

Glad you liked the sundew.

If you have hard water, the filters in refrigerators are simple carbon filters, and not that great even for a carbon filter.  It removes no minerals.  Letting the water sit has no impact at all.  The only types of filtration that can remove minerals are distillation, reverse osmosis and deionization.  Reverse osmosis units are the most economical.  So does the fridge filter help?  Not really.

Good Growing!
