Nepenthes Care

Question
I rescued a Nepenthes from a death cube a few weeks ago. It has been adjusted to low humidity and is under a 100w equivalent compact fluorescent on for 12 hours a day. I do not know the species of the plant. I have read the care sheets from your website on Nepenthes and was wondering if there was genetic care I can provide until I was able to ID it. Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Gary,

The information on our caresheets is great for the plant you have.  I can guarantee your plant is either N. sanguinea, N. ventricosa, or possibly a N. alata hybrid.  All of these are easy growers that respond well to windowsill growing.  All of these plants are mass produced and 99% of the time are the ones that end up in the death cubes.

Good Growing!
