Darlintonia from seeds

Allexperts,

Hey I have a question regarding how hard it is to sow darlintonia from seeds.   Are a scale from 1-10 . 10 being extremely difficult ,and 1 easy where they do they  come in.  I am interested ,because if I wouldn't trying to see if I could grow them from seed.

Hi Weylin,

Darlingtonia seeds germinate very easily.  Often we get at least 95% germination rate.  However, from seed to flowering maturity is where it gets tricky.  You have to be exceedingly patient.  The seedlings will remain very small for the first several years.  You can increase the speed of their maturity using heat mats and low dose fertilizers, but you'll need to have a basic understanding of their physiology before attempting these techniques.
