Grow Chamber - No Roots

Question
Followed your instructions in DVD #3 for setting up a growing chamber for Neptnthes . . . chamber has 4 T-12, 4 foot bulbs approx 6 inches above cuttings in pearlite. . light on for 16 hours. Temp. running 80 - 90F. After 2 months  cuttings have new growth and tiny pitchers forming but NO ROOTS?  . . .any answers . . .Ken

Answer
Hi Kenneth,

If your pitchers are starting to form, your roots are probably not far behind.  I've often found when pitchers form, roots start forming right around the same time.  Also the time it takes Nepenthes to root can vary wildly.  Be sure that the perlite is staying damp, and try to minimize disturbance to the cuttings (like opening the chamber) as much as possible.  From your description I would say you're very close.

Good Growing!
