Artificial lighting

Question
Hi i just went to Lowe's to buy a florescent light bulb 23 watt and it is a bright white bulb 3,500k for my drosera capensis typical because i don't think that they are getting enough sunlight they get about 3-1/2 - 4 hours of early morning direct sunlight in an east window so i thought i would grow them under this florescent bulb it is for a desk lamp so can you tell me if i am doing anything wrong thanks

Answer
Hi Ean,

That will work well.  Just find a way to suspend it about 6 inches above the plant, and it will help give the plant way more energy.  Give the plant at least 2 weeks to see how the light is working.  Look for reddish tentacles and more dew on new growth.

Good Growing!
