applying a sulphur based fungicide on Nepenthes seedlings

Question
Jeff,

I have some highland Nepenthes seedlings (glabrata and aristolochioides) that are a few months old...about 3 months or so. I was wanting to apply some Safer Brand sulphur-based fungcide periodically as a preventive measure to the seedlings, but I do not want to "burn" the seedlings when I apply the fungicide. Have you guys ever had this problem with applying a sulphur-based fungicide to Nepenthes seedlings or any other CP?

Thank you Jeff for your time and attention with all my inquiries here on All Experts.

Kind regards,

Derick

Answer
Hi Derick,

If you have your seedlings under lights inside you shouldn't see any problems.  Sulfur can cause burn if it is applied during high temperatures, so if you have them in a greenhouse be more cautious.  Apply in the evening, and no more frequent than recommend on the label.  We haven't observed any problems with it.

Good Growing!
