Question

King sundew   Allexperts,

I was wondering how many  Osmocite pellots do I use in a 4in pot?  Have you guys ever used this method on your king sundews?  My plant looks like it could use it (see picture).  This using what laid out here: http://www.carnivorousplants.org/howto/GrowingGuides/D_regia.php.     Can I use the standard potting mix with the King Sundew(50/50 peat /perlite mix)?  Thank you for your time.

Hi Weylin,

The method that John Brittnacher describes on the ICPS website is exactly what we do.  Standard cp mix is fine for Regia, but I personally like to cut it with a portion of sand.  It adds a little bit of mineral and different granular size for drainage.  Use 1 part peat/perlite cp mix to one part clean sand.
