Yellow leaves on drosera capensis

Question
Hi,
I am growing Drosera Capensis from seed. They are growing in Mosser Lee long fibered sphagnum peat moss. They are in a seed starting tray and are in 1 inch of standing water. All of the seeds have small seedlings growing out and are starting to have tiny tentacles. Some are partially red and some are all green. I have noticed that 2 or 3 are yellow or more yellowish color than green on the plant. The plants that are turning yellow don't look dry or droopy. They are growing in 24 hour fluorescent lighting. Is it because of too much lighting? If not, why are they turning yellow?
         Thanks, Tyler

Answer
Hi Tyler,

Yes.  Get a timer and put your lights on a 14 hour day.  Plants don't like a 24 hour light cycle, and that is most likely what is causing your problems.  Give them a couple weeks and see how they look once they are on a normal daylight cycle.

Good Growing!
