Sarracenia alata

Question
I just bought a Sarracenia Alata.  Can I remove it from its pot and just put it in long fiber spaghnum moss? I have it in full sunlight and standing in water outside.  I live in Missouri.  Can't get a picture sent, sorry.  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Leslie,

Long-fiber sphagnum is fine as a potting medium for sphagnum.  For more information visit our care sheet page here:  http://www.growcarnivorousplants.com/Articles.asp?ID=258  Also consider our volume #1 DVD; http://www.growcarnivorousplants.com/Grow-Carnivorous-Plants-DVD-1-p/01111.htm  It's a hands-on guide to help new growers avoid the pitfalls so common to new carnivorous plant growers.  The price of the DVD can will be paid for many times over in not loosing plants.

Good Growing!
