Question
I'M LOOKING AT BUYING SOME LAND--IN TEXAS, AND THERE IS A LOT OF CACTUS THAT WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED/DESTROYED.
SOME PEOPLE HAVE SUGGESTED BURNING THE THORNS WITH A PROPANE BURNER AND THEN GETTING THE CATTLE TO EAT THE CACTUS.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS??

Dear Paul,

I've heard that that is done in other parts of the world - it may also be done in the US - the cattle seem to like it, as long as the spines and glochids are completely removed.

Are there just Opuntias (the flat, paddle-type cactus) on your land that you want removed?
