CACTUS REPLANTING

Question
I HAVE A CACTUS UNSURE OF WHAT KIND REALLY, BUT IT HAS GOTTEN TOO BIG FOR THE PLANTER IT IS IN . CAN I REPLANT IT OR PART OF IT W/OUT KILLING IT ?
ALL OF THE LEAVES ARE CONNECTED TO LIKE A BIG CACTUS BALL, SOMETHING ROUND AND SOME OF THEM HAVE LIKE ROUND FLOWERS MAYBE ON TOP OF THEM. CAN IT OR PART OF IT BE REPLANTED ?

Answer
Dear Brianne,

What your describing doen't sound like a cactus, maybe a Euporbia. In either case, I would really need to see a picture to give you a definitive answer. You can email a picture to: [email protected]

Most cactus only need to be replanted if the plant is in danger of falling over. Just double the size of the pot, use a "cactus mix" type of soil and don't water for at least a week after replanting. Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
