Cactus Age and Identification

Question
Hi Greg... please follow this link to a thread I have running on UBC Botanical Garden - Reasearch Centre, regarding (2) cacti that I recently received. I have pictures of the two of them there you can view - I would appreciate your expert advice too. Greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Answer
Ricci,

I have no idea how old they may be, possibly 10 to 15 years old? Anyway, they look like a Ferocactus (plant on the left), possibly Ferocactus acanthodes. The other looks like an Echinopsis eyriesii (however there are hundreds of Echinopsis hybrids that make it virtually impossible to identify it exactly). Hope this helps.

Sincerely,

Greg
