I have an Oak tree in Daytona beach Florida aprox 9 years old the trunk is covered in a flat green fungus it is not leafy like some funguses. What can I do ???

Can you send me a closeup photo? This may help with an accurate ID. Does the tree appear to be affected- yellowing leaves or abnormal leaf drop?  How old is the tree?  This stuff may be harmless or important, but a photo will help.  Be sure it is in focus, by previewing the image on your computer before sending.
