Stephanotis leaf problem

Question
I just got a stephanotis plant , I keep it in the kitchen right now, the leaves look as if something is eating it from the inside side out. Some of the leaves are turning yellow but others are not, there is no specific pattern to the eaten out part of the leaf. There does not seem to be any thing on the top or the bottom of the leaf as in "creature", or any kind of film. The eaten out portion does not go thru , it has a thin piece of tissue left. what it it???.. I live in south Texas

Answer
Hi Clara, Your plant can have a scale issue or fungus.  Do not over water or you could have root rot, also fungus can cause havoc on your plant.  I would suggest Atomic Grow which is organic and can make your plant healthy to fend off any one of these problems.  It is sprayed on and is safe for in the home.  Make sure if your plant is sitting in a bowl of water that you pour off the water after about 15 minutes or root or fungal issues will result.  kathy
