honey suckle disease

Question
I would be grateful for your advice please concerning a recently purchased honey suckle plant.  Shortly after purchase I noticed that some kind of white power like substance had appeared on some of its leaves this substance gradually spread to more leaves.  Now it has lost many of its leaves and only a few remain and some of the leaves have turned yellow with black and brown blotches.  Is there anything that I can do to resore this plant to its former health. Many thanks for any suggestions.

Answer
Sounds like you may have powdery mildew (a Fungus disease). I would check with your local nursery/garden type store and ask for a fungicide that will kill powdery mildew. If left alone it will kill the plant. But with a fungicide you can have a healthy plant once again.
