Question
Hello Chad i have planted some Petunias ,about 12 ,i have 2 -3 that seem to be dieing ,i have watered them as the others,i have looked with a magnifying glass for bugs and found none . I live in western florida where we have sandy soil so i put my Petunias in Pots with potting soil . These lasted for 2-3 weeks and then look sick keep in mind all the other plants look good ,none of the Landscape places have answers ,im afraid the other plants will get this . Thanks George

Hi,George                                                         How u doing,what it sounds like is the petunias have come down with a viruses.curly top,mosaic,ring spot,or wilt.They r spread  by sucking insects such as apids scales,etc.Affected plants become sick n die rather fast,foliage may show signs of spots then turn yellow n die off!thet r not curable but u can prevent it by treating them with a insecticide for apids n scale from your garden center.Get rid of infected plants n disinfectany tools in contact with plants with bleach.Thanks,chad
