Question
I have a 5 year old curly willow tree in my yard, it has holes in the trunk all in a row, the trunk is turning dark and the bark is peeling off. The holes are about the size of a pencil. I haven't seen any bugs.  Any ideas???

Hi, Alice                                                                     How r u?Its a sap sucker bird that does to the bark of the tree like that.Its not much u can do to stop it.I would keep n eye on it 2 make sure that it dont decay or insects dont make a home.Just look at it like twice a year!!FYI u can wrap tree with burlap or put a sticky substance on bark Type in sap sucker bird n they r web sites 2 give more info.GOOD LUCK!!!
