Potential leaf spot

Question
I have a 15 gallon Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Marjorie Channon', in a pot. Full sun, Manhattan Beach, CA, 2 houses from Pacific ocean on 2nd story balcony with no other plants around for 10+ feet. At 1st I thought it was scale but there are no raised bumps . Most of the leaves have a burgundy-brown round to oval spot. The stems seem fine.
The plant is exposed to some wind and the windy side is becoming sparse. At the beach the temp is 70-75 and somewhat humid. I'm a firm believer in organic or natural solutions. What do you recommend? There is still a remote chance it's scale but ALL spots are perfectly flat.

Answer
HI Lorie,  Fungi : Leaf Spots

Leaf spots are caused by fungi or bacteria. Brown or black spots and patches may be either ragged or circular, with a water soaked or yellow-edged appearance. Insects, rain, dirty garden tools, or even people can help its spread.

I suggest Atomic Grow, which is organic, made from food.  It works wonders on fungus problems and makes your plant super healthy.  It will also keep others pests off your plant like aphids, scale, sooty mold which enjoy attacking pittosporum.  kathy
