Hi,  I wanted to ask about the powdery mildew fungus that I found on my mini red rose bush.  I brought it to work in July and noticed in September the white powder substance on its leaves.  

You mentioned that this initial infection of roses comes from spores, called conidia, produced on this mycelium. Does this fungus have any effect on people?

I am not aware of any documented allergies or other ill effects that PM has on people.  Sensitivity to fungal spores and other parts, I am sure is somewhat variable among individuals ie. some folks may be more sensitive to these things than others.
