Question
I have chipmunks living in my basement area and around my
foundation.   What can I do besides poison them ?   Will any kind of
electronic thing, like those ultrasonic pest control items,  or the
recordings of the sound of hawks bird calls scare them off ?   I live
on the edge of the forest, so I don't see how trapping them will
keep them from coming back.  I don't have pet food out, or bird
food either.  Help !

Chipmunks can be live trapped. Domestic cats consider them a delicacy.  Any kind of mint will probably discourage them, as it does for most rodents except rats.  That's about all I know.  Anything for "squirrels" will likely do the same for chipmunks.
