Hi Mike, I have read about a slurry of Kaolin (Surround) that you spray onto your apples to protect them from pests. Will this same product protect any of my vegies from attack? Thanks Steve

Surround will protect vegetables from most insects, but keep in mind that it also deters beneficial insects. It is considered organically safe for humans and will not harm pets. As such, it can be applied right up to harvest. It is most effective when used as a preventive measure, but is not very effective once an infestation is established. Most gardeners do apply it in late spring before the insects become active.
